Invitation to Prayer

Let us pray to God our Saviour

with joyful confidence.

Intentions

That the generosity of Christian people  everywhere may bring good news to the poor this winter:  we pray to the Lord.  Lord, hear our prayer.

That those who are in prisons, even of their own making, may find new freedom this Advent:  we pray to the Lord.  Lord, hear our prayer.

That those whose hearts have been broken may find joy and healing in the Lord and his love:  we pray to the Lord.  Lord, hear our prayer.

That those who have died (especially N.) may be clothed in the garments of salvation and rejoice for ever in God’s presence:  we pray to the Lord.  Lord, hear our prayer.

Conclusion

God of peace,

whose love never fails,

hear the prayer of all who call upon your name,

and make us completely yours.
